We used for our DIY Dual La2a demounit the double layerd pcb of [silent:arts].
The fronpanel does fit exact to this project but you can also use it for other pcb offerer as it does provide the following predrills and silkscreen marks for switches and pots each channel:

The fronpanel does also have a "Link / Dual" predrill in the center of the panel to link both channels for stereo use or run mono. Under this predrill you will find silkscreened
"In / Bypass" that is not predrilled that you have the option to drill two bypass switches for each channel or one switch for both channels.
Power switch is on the right site, far away from sensitive electronic to prevent hum.
This frontpanel design is the success of many prototypes and has a very intuitive feeling in use.
The quality of two color silkscreen and anodized 4mm aluminum is awesome. It does fit well on robeshop cases.
The VU meter cut outs are for the meters available from Hairball Audio "VU Meter 8037"
